|On the occasion of 82nd birth anniversary of Panth Ratan Shiromani late Joga Singhji, founder President of Sri Nanak Jhira Saheb Foundation and Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College (GNDEC), to commemorate the occasion GNDEC organised alumni meet "Regreso" termed home coming held at Jhira Convention hall of City on Monday.
Bengaluru's CMR Pro Vice Chancellor Dr DH Rao in his inaugural address has said that students should be proficient of their academic skills to become the global professionals. Students pursue their academic in particular discipline have good number of opportunities on global arena. Therefore it is the need of the hour that students pursuing their choice of disciple must be fully proficient to become the globally competitive, he said.
State Information Commissioner Shankar R Patil in his chief guest remarks has said that alumni has very important role to play in the development of their alma-mater. And called up on the alumni to extend their cooperation to alma-matter so that upcoming students of their academy will get maximum professional exposure.
Central University Vice Chancellor MH Maheshwaraiah praised the efforts of GNDEC for offering quality education and establishing modern learning centers in the field of technical education.
GNDEC Vice Chairperson Reshma Kaur in her address briefed participants on the achievements of GNDEC and the path it treaded. And also stated that efforts would be made to take the GNDEC on higher growth trajectory in future.
GNDEC Chairman Balbir Singhji presided, Principal Dr Ashok Biradar, Administrator Jagtar Singh, Mr Preetam Singh, Dr Naunihal Singh and Dean Alumni Dr Sindhu Prasad were present.
As many as 250 alumni from different parts of country took part. Entertainment events followed later.
